Today’s Inspiration: “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:11-12 NIV. Today’s Church has become a venue or zoom where I can choose and what type of sermon I would like to hear, as compared to the first day Church which is what I can do to contribute and serve the Lord according to His calling, gifting, and purpose. Jesus said,” When I come, would I find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8.

I recently met up a young adult who left church at secondary 4 but grew up through Sunday school and youth service and I ask him why? He said the young are not going to Church for God but for girlfriends, network and activities. Have we really watered down the gospel so much that our children do not build their spirituality? Or do they see adults not changing or transformed by the Holy Spirit? Or being hurt or wounded by Christians? What will be a generation that Jesus is coming back for? Will they be zealous, fervor, faithful, persevering, and joyful in service unto the Lord even in hardship, affliction or persecution? We must understand Christianity is birth through the Cross in repentance, the Resurrection in regeneration and the Holy Spirit in revival.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me be your workmanship, your vessel and your serviceman. Let me also be a soldier, an athlete, and a farmer who live a life for you, with your rules and for your harvest. Let I not look to my interests but in the interests of your Kingdom and others whom I can serve and be useful for the master. Let the work of my hands and zeal of my heart by established as a worship unto you, in Jesus Name, Amen.
