2 April 2021 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: Jesus is enough for us. He provides us for everything we need. Even out in the open fields where he has to face the lion and the wolves he can safely sing to the Lord that his cup of blessings overflows. Psalm 23:5. It is an attribute of a person with great gratitude to the Lord that leads to his promotion to eventually be King of Israel.

Numbers 16:3 shows a man of ingratitude Korah who wants to rule over the whole assembly instead of a group of 250 people.

Ingratitude is a person who is not satisfied with what God has done for him. Ingratitude is an attribute of Satan who is not satisfied to just be a cherub at God's throne worshipping over the whole earth and leading one third of angels in heaven but compared himself to the most high God in Isaiah 14:14. Pride leads to war against God, a total rebellion. It's the false sense of worth that caused us to desire more. Satan's attitude spread to the other angels below him. Pride brings us to eternal warfare and eventually our destruction.

God's counsel is for us to obey and not to rebel but to remain humbly grateful. Rebellion is like sin of witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:23. Even we should be thankful for the breath he has given us. Let's be thankful for a healthy body.

Ingratitude leads to strife that affects our heart and our lungs. Thankfulness brings breakthrough. God be praised.

Prayer: Lord grant me Your mercy and grace that I might be contented in all circumstances even in the position you have given me. May I be humble at all times, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
