Today‘s Inspiration: “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.“ 1 John 5:4. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12. The challenge we faced in today’s global church is not just having more born again believers (Spirit filled), but more important is having fully converted souls (Spirit led) who are true disciples of Christ.
Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:5. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:5-6 What is governing your mind? The Worldly things or the Word of God. The Bible teaches us that we cannot serve two master, Money and God. Either you will hate one and love the other or devoted to one and despise the other. Matthew 6:24. Our soul wrestle with our flesh daily and it’s only when we pray, filled and led by Holy Spirit, there is divine peace from above governing our mind and heart with the Cross, the finished work of Christ. Prayer: O Lord my God, the flesh profits nothing but those who are filled with your Spirit, overcomes all things through Christ who strengthens us. Quicken and direct me with your wisdom, knowledge and understanding to be an overcomer, witness and a preacher of your good news to the lost, the poor and the sick, that they shall be found, provided, and healed by your grace, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
