Today’s Inspiration: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah‬ ‭55:8-9.‬ ‭Life challenges come when we make our own choice without God. We can’t wait for God’s promises to come and take things into our own hands like Rebekah, who told Jacob to deceive his father for the birthrights.

Lies will always end in dire consequences, like in Jacob’s life where his brother and father- in-law wants to kill him but God’s favor protected him like a shield. Psalm 5:12. We cannot change our past failure, mistakes or wrongs but God can change our hearts like Jacob, who He turns to Israel. Can a perpetrator be change to a prince? Can a sinner be saved by grace? With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. “But now listen, Jacob, my servant, Israel, whom I have chosen. This is what the Lord says— he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.” Isaiah‬ ‭44:1-4‬ ‭NIV‬‬.

Prayer: O Lord my God, who is merciful and gracious like you and who can forgive sins but you. Forgive my sins and let your Holy Spirit fill me with your eternal joy of salvation and let your refiner’s fire make a change in me so I can shine your light in my house on your lamp stand, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
