Today’s Inspiration: My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Proverbs 4:20-22. Today we see many parents and believers burning out in their lives, feeling weary, tired and some even unwell. One can be so caught up by the race of world and neglect the Kingdom of God which is our soul. We sacrifice so much for the provision that we neglected the Provider. Matthew 16:26.
Remember our spouse and children desire our presence more than our provision, just as we seek God’s presence and His face. Matthew 6:33. Learning to build a strong relationship and intimacy with God mustn’t be compromised daily. Our spiritual life reflects our relational life. One cannot build strong relationships without first being a recipient of God’s love, forgiveness and grace for our sins. Our love is carnal and limited but God’s love is unconditional and eternal. Wisdom only comes from God’s Word and His Holy Spirit. We all need the right parenting from God and the greatest manual is the Bible, His Living Word. To love God we have to learn how to give our presence in order to know His presence. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me seek you first that I may know your word, your ways, and your will. Let me lean not on my own understanding, but to trust you with all my heart. Teach me to enter into your rest for my soul that I will not burn out but to build up in your presence in prayer, petition, and thanksgiving in my heart. For in your presence, there is a fullness of hope and joy, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
