Today's Inspiration: We need to know the ways of the Lord. Life is not a bed of roses but a life of testing so that we can emerge pure as gold. Job 23:10. Life has to be a balance.
Sometimes we are involved in so much activity that we forgot to seek the Lord in reflection. Jesus was effective in ministry because He did not allow His busy schedule to hamper His time alone with the Lord. He treasures the times of being alone with the Lord reflecting what His Father wants Him to do for the day. He takes time off from His busy schedule to be away from His disciples to be alone with God. He is, in fact, busier than us yet He was neither stressed nor burnt out. This burnt out in ministry has caused many to be afflicted. Jesus set an example for us that there is a time for everything. Ecclesiastes 3:1. There is a time for work and a time for refreshing.
May we follow the example of Jesus so that our body is recharged day by day that we may be effective in all that we do. Treasure the words of the Lord more than any necessary food. Job 23:12. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4. His word heals, refreshes us and revives us. So declare words of refreshing to yourself that your soul be nourished and be in good health and attain what you desire. God be praised.
Prayer: Lord may the meditation of Your words be pleasing to Your sight and may it be thoughts of goodness and not that of self-centeredness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
