15 July 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration:‬‬ “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.” Isaiah‬ ‭49‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ The agape love and compassion of God surpasses our parents through Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour. God’s divine healing for our souls is a spiritual warfare for our wounds. Many in life do not deal with their hurts by their parents and may still harbour unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentments. Wounds are breeding place for the demonic forces and the enemy uses our past to hinder our future. Therefore only the love of God can heal our wounds, and cast out all our fears in Jesus' Name.

Our parents may not be perfect but God is. He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge? Psalms‬ ‭94‬:‭9‬-‭10. What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. Psalms‬ ‭8‬:‭4‬-‭6‬. ‭When we forgive our parents, God’s love fills up our emptiness and emotional deficit of parental needs to reparent us. The devil uses hate but God uses love to change us. It is a blessing for generations.

Prayer: O Lord my God, if I have harbour any resentments to my parents, I chose to forgive and surrender all my wounds to you. For you Lord heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. Instead of my shame, I shall receive a double honour from the grace and mercy of God. Heal my reactions and restore my soul, for as you set me free, I am free indeed, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
