Today’s Inspiration: “Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.” I John 5:1-2. The safest place lies in obedience to God’s Word. It is the singleness of heart and Holy vigilance. It doesn’t just happen on Sunday service but a daily union, communion and consciousness of God’s divine presence and one’s prayer life. Relationship is not built overnight.
You can’t lay hold the world and on God at the same time, likewise you can’t lay hold on own busyness and on intimacy with God. Matthew 6:24. What you lay hold on daily, lays hold on you. Apostle Paul reveals,” Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Philippians 3:12. When we lay hold on Christ, He will also lay hold on us. You might be in a crisis or facing great test and trials. Don’t keep laying hold on your fears, anxieties and stress. Come together and pray, for when we obey and lay hold to God’s word and promises, Christ holds us and His peace, provisions and protection shall come. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let my mind, my heart and my hands never fail to lay hold on you daily. For obedience is better than sacrifice and my time with you is like a thousand years in your court. Hold me close and let your love surrounds me. Bring me near and draw me to your side. And as I wait, I shall arise again on wings of the eagles with victory in Christ, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
