Today's Inspiration: Circumcision means nothing neither uncircumcision. What matters is keeping the commandments of God. 1 Corinthians 7:19. It's this obedience that we receive the best from the Lord and above all a crown that will not perish as a reward. The reward is for the mature who is proven faithful up to the end.
When God called Abraham, He had the world in view. He intended to have a family that will be made up of children from every tribe, tongue and nation where Abraham will be Father of all Nations. There is to be one tree, one family and one sheepfold.
God desires that none shall perish but all to be regenerated as one body both Jews and Gentiles. Regeneration means not only salvation but an improved life where there will be a change in the natural kingdom. Isaiah 11:6-9. Even the animal kingdom will be at peace with each other. We long for this day when Jesus stepped on Mount Olive.
As Jesus says whilst on Earth we must aim to be perfect just as He is perfect. Perfection means to be like Him and to live like Him. He is the one who redeems our life from destruction and crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies who satisfies us with good things so that our youth be renewed like eagles. It's He who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases and provides for us. So focus on Jesus the author and perfector of your faith and salvation. God be praised.
Prayer: Father, guard the door of my lips that I speak pleasant words like the honeycomb that sweetens my soul and nourishes my body to good health. Grant me wisdom and discernment to serve You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
