12 August 2021 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: The Lord cautioned us not to associate with one who is easily angered or we may learn His ways and get easily ensnared. Proverbs 22:24. We are to restrain our anger. Anger is a wrong attitude and if we take them into our spirit the Lord will not be pleased. Anger caused one to react without thinking. So let your words be few. We tend to allow temper to be released rather than restrained.

King Saul is a very angry and jealous man and is all out to kill David whom he considers a threat to his position as he was gaining popularity because of his marvelous victories. This attitude cost him his life as he doubted God and disobeyed the law with his attitude. Whatever God chooses to do, no one can topple His plan. He chose to install kings and depose them whenever He finds them unfit to rule. There is nothing you can do about it as you cannot question His Sovereignty. Even Job has no answers to his trials but have to wait on His timing of Deliverance. When He restore He restores a hundred fold. Job 42:10.

The Lord blessed the latter part of his life more than the first thereby reinforcing Job 8:7. Therefore do not easily jump to conclusions. What you speculate may not be what you fear. Seek the Lord and reflect your life over your condition. God will reveal its roots and delivers you. When there is more haste you tend to stumble and fall. Yet when the righteous fall seven times, God will reinstate. The Lord desires us to go in-depth and not to look at surface of things which may not be what our physical eyes see. Instead stay calm and be still. Wait for His Deliverance.

Prayer: What is man that you are so mindful of that You pay so much attention to him as to examine him every morning and test him every moment.
