11August 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” John‬ ‭15:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Jesus revealed to the disciples that He is the vine and the source. He is the only way, the truth and the life to eternal life, to God and kingdom living. John 14:6. God desires us to be fruitful and to multiply but what is root cause when we are not fruitful and how can a branch that is attached to the vine not bearing fruit? Remember we are Gentiles, who are the grafted branches so don’t be proud but be humble and allow the Vine to work through you. Romans 11:18.

The root cause is unbelief. Remember Jesus was in his hometown and there wasn’t much miracles because of their unbelief, thinking He was only the carpenter’s son. Matthew 13:58. Many Christians don’t know that unbelief is sin, and that’s when the Holy Spirit is quenched. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 Jesus continued teaching that,” Everything is possible for the one who believes.” Mark 9:23 So, what is believe? It is to know you are the Clay and Jesus is your Potter, and you are willing to go to the Potter’s House to see the Potter and be willing to give yourself to the Potter’s Hands. Jeremiah 18:1-4 And if you are the Branch, would you allow God, the divine Gardener to prune you so that more spirit gifts and fruit in your life can emerge and multiply? Would you humble yourself to go for Discipleship, Bible Study, Lifegroup and do Missions and Evangelism? All these will strengthen your believe system if you give yourself to the Potter’s wheel. You will know which areas to be removed, and which areas to be grown to be a fruitful branch and a vessel of honour. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, your sheep hears your voice, you know me and I will follow you. For in Christ, it’s no longer I who lives but you Lord, working inside and through my life. Let me be the Branch and the Clay, and you be the Vine and my Potter. For I am wonderfully and beautifully created by you, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
