Today’s Inspiration: “That You may say to the prisoners, ‘Go forth,’ To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ “They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights.” Isaiah 49:9 NKJV. The greatest spiritual battle today is surprisingly not critical illnesses but mental oppression, suppression and depression globally. Prophet Isaiah prophesied on the restoration of Israel in this divine chapter which is unfolding before our eyes today.
Depression is like a spiritual darkness which could trap and ensnare a soul spirally into a vicious cycle of hopelessness and worthlessness. The most important prayer now for our Nation is mental wellness. It is the battlefield of the mind. Roots of depression are seeds of despair, heaviness and hopelessness planted by the enemy. But praise be unto God, we have a saviour who knows the deep and dark things in our hearts and is able to set the prisoners of depression totally free and walking into the light of God’s glory. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, lift up this heaviness off our Nation and young generation. Instead let us put on the garment of Praise unto Jesus, the deliverer, restorer and healer of our soul. Crown our heads with beauty instead of ashes, and pour forth your oil of joy instead of sadness. Let this be the year of the Lord’s favour in our lives, in Jesus' Name, Amen
