11 December 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.“ Psalms‬ ‭126‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬. Negev is spiritually a desert condition where nothing grows, dry and fruitless. It can also be season when we pray and things don’t seem to be working out financially or relationally. But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭18‬.

I remember when my first born came out in 2011, I lost my job and I am the sole breadwinner of the family. At that time, the church was birthing and there aren’t enough funds. My solace was at the altar of God, to dry my tears, bend my knees and deposit my desperation. One day I heard the Lord spoke in my heart,” Do not fear, you build my house I will build yours.” My heart began to swell with joy like river flowing in the desert and I began to commit to a covenant with God despite with no income, I chose to sow by faith. Lo and behold after the Church opening, I got a prophetic dream of a financially breakthrough and subsequent week, a call from a head hunter came and I was shocked when I signed the appointment letter because the amount was exactly same as God’s divine dream. And God sent an anonymous cheque to cover all renovation of the Church. God is a covenantal and faithful Father who does what He promises. Our prayer and focus is to trust Him and do what He says and you will have His peace, provision, and protection. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, you are a covenant working God and all your promises are yes and Amen. For we are the witness of your glory, power and honour. Nothing is too difficult and it is easy for you to provide for we are your children and you are our Abba Father God. May I always remember to honour the Lord with my wealth, with the firstfruits of all my crops; then my barns will be filled to overflowing, and my vats will brim over with new wine, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
