Today’s Inspiration: Jesus didn’t give his disciples power but authority from the Kingdom God. Christians can easily mistaken authority with power. Power without authority is illegal and corrupted. Faith is activated by authority like the centurion whose servant’s child was healed by the command of Jesus. “Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.” Matthew 10:1 NIV
Remember this, satan also has power but he doesn’t have the authority of Jesus Christ, which God has given unto him over the heaven, earth and even the gates of hell will not prevail. For greater is He that is in us, than the devil that is in the World speaks clearly about authority. 1 John 4:4

Power belongs to God but authority is given to man to exercise dominion on earth. Genesis 1:28. So do we exercise authority? Authority is exercised through the Word of God, who speaks about our true identity in the image of God in whom we are created to be. Sin in our lives destroys the image of God in our hearts and blinds our eyes to our true Identity as the children of God. It’s such a great honour and privilege to be a child of God, for the blood of Jesus Christ has redeemed us from all sins, iniquities and transgressions, giving us the Holy Spirit who adopts us in the Sonship of the New Jerusalem, the Kingdom of God. Romans 8:15 Take back your authority in Christ to overcome sin, the world, and the devil. It’s time for restoration to take place with authority. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord My God, we thank you as the children of the most high God. Teach us to exercise the authority you have given to us through your Holy Spirit, in your Name who testify with our spirit, that we are God’s children. In Jesus’ Name, we pray, Amen.
