10 September 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.” Revelation‬ ‭21:5-6.‬ This is going to be a new season where the next chapter is to be turned. Most of us struggle with the old corrupted man of pain, sins, hurts and failures, who loves to dwell on dry places and revisiting of our own fears. Matthew 12:43. How Jesus turned his followers into disciples and his disciples into apostles were to keep moving them by faith and not by sight, to keep turning new pages and doing new exploits.

We cannot keep doing old things and expecting new things to happen. Where your thirst is has to be where the Lord is sending you. Life is not mechanical but spiritual and to follow Jesus, we have to let go of our past, by repenting of our sins and be ready for a new living way by walking in the Spirit with Christ. Romans 8:3. Breaking the old man is disengaging with old habits which the devil loves to ensnare God’s children. When you let God’s love and His Spirit lay hold on you, He will cast out all fears and break all addictions and the lust of the eyes, the flesh and pride. 1 John 2:16. The Holy Spirit is the way maker, miracle producer, promise keeper, and light in the darkness. He heals the broken hearted, binding up their wounds so that a new chapter can begin to unfold, turn and bring forth a new story of glory. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, let me be hungry and thirsty for your righteousness and commission. Draw me into your fountain of life, free me from my old man and make me a new creation in your likeness. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and direct me into your precious calling and purpose. For those who know their God shall be strong and do great exploits in Jesus' Name, Amen.
