Today's Inspiration: We are called to be holy for He is holy. 1 Peter 1:15. As obedient children do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance. V14. Attaining Holiness is not easy but it is not impossible. Holiness is not the result of painful endeavor but one who loved being with Jesus. Holiness is not whipping ourselves to become humble. Holiness does not mean we ignore all pleasure. Rather it is simply near to the heart of God. Holiness creates an inner craving for more of God.

A person who is holy has countenance that is glorious and speech edifying and had a sweet calm devotion existing in it as could not but affect the beholders. Moses is one who attained Holiness through much reverence that no one could see his face and had to be covered with a veil. Holiness often brings conviction of the highest order.

One who is holy is prayerful. It's the Holy spirit who helps us to attain Holiness through interceding for us. 1 John 2:1 says of any one sin we have an advocate with the Father.

There is total change in the countenance. Moses came from the top of Mt Sinai whose person is like a burning star bathed in His great glory. He learned real Holiness is not to be associated with mountain experiences alone. Moses lived in Holiness every day. His godly living gave him dunamis power when he prayed. Moses took time to be holy. He walked with God like Enoch. His life of Holiness prepared him for his time of prayer. In truth Holiness prepares us for time of prayer. With Holiness unto the Lord inscribed into our hearts we journey forward with our trail of prayer.

Prayer: Lord guide me to live a holy life based on the five virtues of godly living in 1 Peter 3:8. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
