1 July 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: "One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock." Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭4‬-‭5‬. The image of God can only fall upon us when we abide under the shadow of His wings, dwelling in His presence in worship and prayer. Psalm 91:1.

King David’s life wasn’t a bed of roses and most people only remember His triumph over Goliath but few read the psalms of his lost, grief, and pain, which depicts the passion of Christ. Christ is the King of Kings but He is also the lamb of God who was tested, trialed, travailed and yet triumph over all issues of life in the heart in carrying the Cross to Calvary, releasing forgiveness, grace and mercies to sinners, sick, and sorrowful. He was broken so that we may be whole, He was crucified so that we may be forgiven, and He was resurrected so that we may be raised. 1 Peter 2:24. David’s innermost comfort came out of His intimacy with God, with a heart after God’s and a heart being made whole again. God shall restore your heart in this coming season. Trust Him. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, take me from the outer courts into your Holy Place, past the brazen altar, for I long to see your face. Lead my feet upon your rock, and make me lie down on your greener pastures beside your quiet still waters. May my eyes behold the glory of the Lord all the days of my life, singing praises and honour to your sovereign Name. Let thy love, mercy and compassion overflows within me, making me whole in all places once again, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
