1 April 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: ““… the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.” James‬ ‭3:5-6. Our words forms our future and well being.

In one worship service, the Lord spoke into my heart that many are struggling because of their words used daily, for they can be blessings or curses. God’s wisdom tells us,” From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:20-21. Have we taken any inventory of the words we used daily to our parents, spouse, children, friends and colleagues? Or what do we speak of our health, finances and relationships? Are they God’s living Word or from our fleshly and negative emotions? God’s Word has the power to put us back into His plans, purpose and provisions. Guard our tongues in the Spirit, for He shall be the lamp to our feet and light to our path to bear fruit of righteousness.

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me of any careless words or curses that I have used in my life to others and self. Sanctify my lips and let living waters flow from your spirit to mine for edification, exhortation, and comfort. Lead me to thy everlasting ways, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
