For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. These things command and teach. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:10-12
It’s not easy following Christ. At times, we have to learn how to love difficult people. In prayers, we emulate Christ saying, "Father God, not my will but yours be done.” Luke 22:42. What credit do we have in loving those who loves us? Doesn’t all sinners do that? But Christ at the Cross forgave those who persecuted, harmed, whipped, mocked, humiliated and accused Him. “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Luke 6:27-28.
You can’t give what you don’t have and you can’t tell others to follow if you are not a good example or a role model. Let’s all learn to serve the Lord in any way we can in His likeness that we may be salt and light to others.
To God be the glory!
Love Always,
