“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17 NIV
What news are you hearing daily? Are they from the internet, newspaper or YouTube? I have seen many Christians being scammed and deceived by online enticement and lies during Covid-19, who ended up with a corrupted faith, covetous spirit and angry life. We must try to guard our ears with the voice of God.
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” 1 John 2:15-17 NIV.
Remember our eyes are for Christ and not for lust. Many are in debt today because of covetousness and lust of the eyes and flesh to get rich or even over buying, exploiting credits. All these open doors to satan to form his footholds to rob you.
I was shocked when I read that forum statistics shown 30-40% of highly salaried management executives are in serious debts. We have to guard both our ears and our eyes, to have faith and good stewardship that would live a life to glorify Christ. Use your finances to sow to missions and build God’s kingdom, such works last eternally and brings forth generational blessings and role-modelling.
To God be the glory!
