Today’s Inspiration: “By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command. By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.” Hebrews 11:23-26 NKJV
The meaning of Moses in Hebrew is “Being drawn out”. Exodus 2:10 He was destined to be the deliverer of the Israelites just as Christ, the deliverer of our sins for humanity salvation. Moses was drawn out of the waters infested by crocodiles in the Nile in the baptism of faith and was drawn out of wilderness by the baptism of fire at the burning bush. Besides Jesus, there was no other man who had ever done such great signs and wonders of drawing the 10 plagues, the wind to open the Red Sea, the 10 Commandments from Mount Sinai and the water from the Rocks in the desert. No one likes pain, suffering or afflictions. Yet they humble us, teach us, and change us to empathise, comfort and bring hope to others with the mercies and grace of Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1-5 Don’t waste the pain in your life, use it to draw out the purpose and calling in your life to be witness for Jesus Christ. For by His stripes, we are healed. 1 Peter 2:24.
Prayer: O Lord my God, give us a new measure of faith to be drawn out for the salvation of souls. You have taught us to freely receive, freely give. Use all our pain and afflictions and turn them into your healing and deliverance testimonies. Draw us to be witnesses of your Kingdom, power and glory forever for the joy of the Lord is my strength, in Jesus Name, Amen.
