Today’s Inspiration: “The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him. Psalms 103:8-11. The wrong perception of God can stifle our spiritual growth and maturity. Most of the enemy’s lies and deception comes from our wounds in the past to doubt, hate or blame God, self and others for our own sins, wrongs and bad decisions. Yet God is patient, gracious and merciful to us. 2 Peter 3:9.
What is slow to us is not slow in the Kingdom of God. Without patience, we cannot achieve great things in life like a strong loving marriage, an enduring courageous parenting, and producing godly sons and daughters in the kingdom of God. It is easy to give up when things get hard but it is truly the heart that keep things going like Christ at Calvary. Zechariah 4:6. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, you know all that I am going through and I believe you are greater than all my tests, trials and tribulations. Lead me to be patient like Christ in all circumstances and people around me and to trust you with all my heart, leaning not on my own understanding. Keep my lamps burning with your love, joy and patience daily, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
