9 December 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.” John‬ ‭6‬:‭63‬ ‭NIV. The world seeks the desire of the flesh but the Kingdom seeks the desire of the Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life, there is no spiritual wisdom, regeneration or transformation. The difference between the Pharisees and the disciples of Christ is that the former were religious in the flesh and the latter were led by Christ Jesus in the Spirit.

Apostle Paul taught,”Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭5‬-‭6.‬ ‭The greatest danger in the end of times for the Church is looking more worldly than godly, having just a form but without the formation of Christlikeness. Materialism, liberalism and consumerism if not corrected can derail a believer to become carnal than spiritual. Prayer and living in the Spirit means that we seek to build our intimacy, relationship, and purpose with God through Christ.

Prayer: O Lord my God, we are your workmanship. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Draw me close as I draw close to you in the secret place of prayer. May you reveal your plans for us, to prosper and not harm, to give us a hope and future. Let thy dreams, visions and prophetic Destiny for our lives be revealed, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
