Today's Inspiration: The Lord watched and was displeased and wondered why there was no intercessor. Isaiah 59:16. This is the month of intense intercession for the Nations especially those in faith. We are to put on our Breastplate of righteousness, a helmet of salvation and put on the garments of vengeance for our clothing. V17.
The Lord is at the helm of His army so we do not fear. When the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. It is the Lord we have to fear as wealth, health, peace and prosperity are in His hand to grant those who are His and who understand to seek Him first His kingdom and His righteousness. Let His name be glorified always!
We tend to go for the loaf of bread and keep it to ourselves for fear of lack but when we share it, He will multiply our portion we have shared as we picked up the crumbs. Normally we ignore the crumbs and throw them away. But if you treat every crumb as precious, what a collection you have - more than the Loaf of bread you share with the hungry.
This is evidenced in the experience of disciples when they collected the crumbs which were left over from the multitude of 5000 families after Jesus multiplied the five loaves and two fishes the meal of the day from the boy who was willing to share his meal with the multitudes who were listening attentively at Jesus teaching. The disciples must have been overwhelmed to have collected twelve basketful of crumbs. What an awesome God we serve that is always in the business of multiplication! Matthew 14:15-21. Indeed, do not despise the crumbs. Jesus is enough for you. He will never leave nor forsake those who follow Him.
What are you trusting God for? For every return there is an investment. Therefore, invest in every word of God. They maybe crumbs to you. Even the crumbs of what a rich man forsakes can bring forth eternal treasure if you valued them as in the story of Lazarus and the Rich man. Luke 16:19-26. God be praised.
Prayer: Lord, whatever may happen, I still trust You for You have the bread of life which far exceeds earthly riches. Thanks for reminding us to pursue eternal treasure more than the earthly ones. Great is Your reward in heaven. Amen
