3 November 2021 Word by Senior Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: Our love has limitations but God’s love doesn’t. His love is greater than our hearts in 1 John 3:20 and whoever foster love cover over an offence, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9-10. Offences are entrapments of the devil, and they ensnares our emotions with unforgiveness, anger, and bitterness. Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so it is wise to drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. Proverbs 17:14. Remember God desires unity and not division.

Most people struggle with their own love issues. It is because our love is conditional and many don’t feel love because of their past abuses, hurts and pains which fragmented the image of love in their hearts. We no longer see God perfectly. God’s love cannot enter our lives without humility, repentance and forgiveness.

The prayer of our Lord Jesus Christ to the disciples was God centric and focus on faith to follow God’s will and yielding our trust in His love to forgive. Letting go and carrying the Cross of Jesus will only make sense when you choose to be a follower, not just a believer of Christ. Dying to self and be renewed in the Spirit of God brings healing and liberty to the soul. It’s time to let go of all offences and resentments at the Cross through the blood of Jesus. It is for freedom Christ set us free. Galatians 5:1. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord Our God, show us your perfect image which we were created for. Heal our reactions and past brokenness that we may renew our minds and be totally free, knowing who you really are, and teach us how to love and forgive like you do, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
