Today’s Inspiration: For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. I Corinthians 3:9. When we received our salvation in making Christ our Lord and saviour, our first love, we are destined not just being a recipient of God’s blessing but being made as a blessing to others. Do not be caught up by this world of position, power, and possession. Many in the body of Christ lost their first love, which is the first fire for Jesus, especially during the pandemic. Technology has replaced the church koinonia, assembly and worship in isolation and being self sufficient, comfort, and conceited has quenched the Holy Spirit movement in the hearts and caused lukewarmness in the soul. It’s time to be awakened.
We mustn’t be blinded by the world and self, loosing our zeal for Christ and the gospel. This happened to the disciples when they (sons of Zebedees) were looking at position to be seated with Christ rather than His purpose on earth. Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:25-28 Is there Christ in us? Fire comes only when there is a sacrifice at the Altar.
Prayer: O Lord my God, remove all blindness and scales from our eyes of the flesh and the pride of life. Let me return to my first love for Jesus and set me on fire to serve God with new sacrifices and prayer for lost, the sick, and the poor. Lead me to go out from the 99 and to the one lost sheep who need Christ. I am called to be producers and not consumers, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
