Today’s Inspiration: Building strong families comes from building strong relationships. To have strong relationship, we need good communication. And to have good communication we need a loving devotion with God. Psalm 143:8.
God is the strongest communicator in the universe but we are too busy to hear from Him. That’s why we get into arguments and presumptions easily which is from satan and the World. It’s a spiritual warfare. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. We all want a change in our family and for them to know Christ but they must first see Christ in us. Jesus has to go fishing with Peter before Peter became the first disciple.
Why do we find hard to change is because we find it hard to hear from God. We want to do what we want to do. In Old Testament, the SHEMA, which means “To Listen” or “Harken”, to Hear attentively and obediently to the Word and Voice of God, is a command. Deuteronomy 6:4-5. One cannot truly learn without listening and one cannot truly love without hearing to your loved ones’ heart. When did you last seat down to share with someone your heart? God is waiting for us daily to hear from our hearts. Speak to Him and have an intimate conversation and communion. Change will happen when we SHEMA. It is the wisdom of the heart.
Prayer: O Lord Our God, guide me to hear from you deeper, clearer and stronger. Let your Word be the lamp to my feet and light to my path, Lord. Let my ears and heart always be ready for you 24/7, to obey and follow, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
