Today’s Inspiration: “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.” Psalms 125:1-2 NIV. An old hymn sang,” Christ the solid rock I stand, all other grounds are sinking sand, all other grounds are sinking sand.” Trust in not found when all things are well. On the contrary, trust is only forged in tests, trials and tribulations. Who do you trust in times and seasons when all things seems to be crushing and going south?
The most powerful way to learn how to trust God is to pray, read and meditate on His Word. One thing for sure when you have more fear than faith is when your eyes are no longer on the Word, just like Peter who sank in the storm because He took His eyes from the Word, our Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 14:30. The most common confession of all Christians is not reading the Word of God for themselves. The Word is the Sword of the Spirit. Ephesians 6:17. In one prayer meeting, the Lord showed me a vision of rusty and broken swords. Christianity is not entertainment but a Spiritual Battle. And when our eyes are off God’s Word, one is backsliding and being disarmed by satan. It is time all believers take up their Sword and learn to use it against the enemy and start winning battles in life for the glory God. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways I shall submit to your Word, and you shall make my paths straight. Let me take up your Word as my Sword daily to overcome all fears, anxieties and stress of the World. You are my refuge and my rock of salvation. My trust is in the unshakeable stone of Israel, Yeshua Hamasiach, Jesus Christ my Lord who wins all my battles in His glorious Name, Amen.
