Today‘s Inspiration: “The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I shall give [the ultimate] peace and prosperity,’ declares the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:9. Many times in our lives we tend to struggle with ourselves because our flesh and our spirit are always in opposition to one another. Our flesh is always clingy to the past and comfort zone but the Holy Spirit is always unfolding God’s new plan and purpose for new providence and testimony.
Without crucifying our flesh at the Cross, we will not see the new vision in the Spirit. New wine cannot be poured into old wineskin. Mark 2:22. Apostle Paul preached,”Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 2 Corinthians 5:17 We need to let go of the old man or carnal self (attitude and mindset) to the Cross before we can truly step into God’s divine plan in the Holy Spirit of Resurrection.
Prayer: O Lord my God, give me the courage and faith to step into your new calling, plans and purpose. I choose to trust you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. For your ways are higher than my ways and your thoughts are far above mine. I decree and declare that my latter days shall be more glorious and wonderful than my former ones because of the goodness, kindness and holiness of God, in Jesus Name, Amen.
