25 July 2021 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: King David prayed that God will open his eyes to see wonderful things in His law. Psalm 119:18. People do not wish to read His word because they could not understand what is written. This is because we read it from natural understanding. The question is that once the eyes are opened to the spirit, would you obey God to take action in obedience of what is known to you. Or would you still remain oblivious to what you have read. V37 tells us that he pleaded with the Lord to turn his eyes from worthless things that his life might be preserved according to the word of God. V36 is to ask God to turn his heart toward His statutes and not towards selfish gain.

The heart and soul of a believer in Christ is to listen to His voice and to follow Him. John 10:27. Though Moses did not want to respond to God for fear of what pharaoh might do to him, God gave him no choice but to heed His commission bringing Aaron his brother along as two are better than one. It's always in the mind of God to commission his disciples on a mission two by two. When God commissions He empowers and enables you to fulfill the mission. Therefore, put your hope in His word which is more powerful and sharper than a two edged sword that pierced the heart to conviction to change. Hebrews 4:12. Always obey His law forever and forever so that you will always walk in freedom. V44.

Handle His word well. Do not allow assumptions to take hold of your spirit. Do not allow the enemy room to discriminate us. We have to take responsibility of all oversight and not blame ourselves nor allow the enemy to cause us guilt. Failures are meant for us to acquire wisdom to make the right choices in the future. Pray for discernment before you plunge into making any decisions. Tests are meant for us to put our flesh down and to enliven our spirit to wisdom, knowledge and understanding. God be praised.

Prayer: Grant me your peace that surpasses all understanding that all may go well with me now and forevermore. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
