Today's Inspiration: The fruit of righteousness is peace and the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. Isaiah 32:17. Yet not many people are able to wait in silence in reflection waiting for God to speak. It is a test of patience. We can only be silent and wait patiently when we reach a crossroad where we do not know which direction to turn. We are confident only with the assurance of His promises.
In fact, in this New Biblical year, Jesus should be our first line of defense and not our last resort. We have been singing amazing grace without understanding what grace is all about. We need to be repeatedly amazed by His saving grace. We are unable to count how many times He has taken us out of the pit into His embrace, softly telling us to walk in His ways and seek Him continually for our life and stand confidently in His promises.
Today's Pandemic is to wake up Christians who are compromising in biblical character that has caused increasing crises in the land. With abortion legalised, how many potential leaders, prophets, evangelist and revivalists have been prevented to be born. The church is now called to repent for thwarting God's plan for these babies. To maintain dignity, they failed to see God's plan for the aborted ones.
In this season, we also have to reflect on our spiritual lives within us. Romans 8:16 records that our spirit and the Holy spirit bears witness we are children of God and as God's children we must carry with us always the image of God and the weight of His glory. Our biblical character should live up to His standard to exemplify Christ that people see Christ in us. The end is near and our redemption is nigh. Where are we Spiritually? Some have got to get back to basic having no sure foundation of what a Christian Life should be. They conform to the world rather than to renew the mind to that of Christ. Romans 12:2.
It is written that we depend on God's Sovereignty of Mercy and compassion each day. He raised us up for the purpose of displaying His power in us that His name be proclaimed throughout the Earth. Romans 9:17. Therefore we have to ask ourselves if we have hindered the Gospel from advancing. Are we growing from faith to faith, from glory to glory? Remember the one who trusts in Him will never be ashamed.
Therefore, be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer, have Spiritual fervor not lacking any zeal in living in harmony with one another. Be always willing to associate with people of low position for God does not despise the weak and the helpless. On the contrary, He formed them into powerful vessels of honor and instruments of His righteousness. God be praised.
Prayer: Lord let Your word be near to me, in my heart and in my mouth that I might proclaim the words of faith to those who still do not know You. May You give them the heart to believe and with their mouth confess so that they may be saved. May we not be lacking in zeal in spreading Your word and may we conduct ourselves worthily unto You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
