Today’s Inspiration: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Psalms 51:10-12 NIV. There is no sinner whom God cannot change and there is no adversities God cannot turnaround. David made the greatest mistake and committed the most grievous sin when he took Uriah’s wife and life. Deep guilt and remorse could have overwhelmed his soul with satan’s accusations and condemnation. Yet David’s heart was still after the Lord in repentance, contriteness and brokenness. Psalms 51:17.
Despite losing his child due to sin, God gave him Solomon through the same womb to build the temple of God and Israel with peace and providence. Instead of shame, God bestowed a double honour not because of what David did in repentance but who God truly is as a compassionate Father. Isaiah 61:7. Jesus taught without keeping repentance we cannot bear fruit of righteousness. Matthew 3:8. Doctors, professors, technologists, and psychiatrists cannot deal with issue of sins, except through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Confession is weakness to the world but it is great salvation in the kingdom of heaven. The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20-21. Jesus came to reveal the Father’s heart.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let thy grace and repentance abounds in my heart and my family. Lead me always from all temptations and deliver me from evil. Create in me a pure heart and fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may walk in your glorious light and salvation. Let my sins be cleansed by your blood and my flesh be crucified at your Cross so I may resurrect with a new spirit and new living for your grace and mercy daily so many others can be saved like a sinner like me in Jesus' Name, Amen.
