Today’s Inspiration: “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” II Corinthians 3:17. There is a difference between the works and the Spirit. Works can easily burn us out in busyness physically, emotionally and mentally but the Holy Spirit burns us up in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding with affirmations and aspirations.
Are we ready for new things from God? Are we waiting to hear His still small voice? Elijah faced dire circumstances when he was threatened by Jezebel for his life. 1 Kings 19:2-3/ He faced a burnt out situation in the prophetic ministry. There were insecurities because he thought he was the only prophet left in Israel but God reserved the 7000 prophets who has not bowed down to Baal. 1 Kings 19:18 God is not looking at Elijah’s achievements or works but was looking at his heart of waiting upon Him because Elijah needs a healing and realignment of His calling and assignments. We have to be healed of our wrong perceptions and assumptions of the past to realign with God for the future, liberating from self to God’s agenda.
Prayer: O Lord my God, if there are any fear of insecurities, burnt out or even failures I am struggling with, I believe I can overcome them through Christ who strengthens me, for when I am weak then I am strong,. It is thy face and presence that I seek in Jesus' Name, Amen!
