22 December 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He has broken the gates of bronze, And cut the bars of iron in two.” Psalms‬ ‭107‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. These words were prophesied again by the prophet Isaiah on God’s power to liberate the Israelites. Isaiah 45:2. What is God speaking to His people and why must He break the gates of bronze and the bars of iron? In the Bible, bronze speaks about atonement of sins and reflection of our self because God told Moses to build the Brazen Altar of Bronze as well as the Laver to look and wash oneself before entering the tabernacle or the temple of God. Exodus 25. The iron represents war and oppression in the Bible because all weapons, prison and even shackles and chains are made of Iron. It also speaks about repentance.

Sins condemns us of our past and fear shackles us from our future. It is only the precious blood of Jesus and the power of the Cross that can bring us into repentance of our sins and confession of our guilt. It is only the Spirit of Christ, who is the Holy Spirit they can break us free from the prison doors of fear, anxieties and stresses in this world. Many are feeling hopeless and meaningless in this end of times especially after the pandemic. Speak to the younger generation and reality is not too far. God’s is so compelling and confrontational that He so desire to break us free from our past, our guilt and sins and remove all our fear, worries and anxiousness of the future. So that we may live with faith, love and hope in the present by His grace, which is only through His Son Jesus Christ. If you feel you are struggling with your past and your future, come to Christ today and He will guide your to all truth and the truth shall set you free. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the Lord of my Hope, the lover of my soul and the healer of my heart. Let repentance of my sins and confession of my guilt brings forth a renewal of my mind in Christ. Your grace is sufficient for me and I believe by your blood and cross, I am free of my past and is hopeful for my future as my help comes from you Lord, in Jesus Name, Amen.
