22 December 2020 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, the well spring of wisdom is a flowing brook. Proverbs 18:4. Let your words be few. The more the words the more you reveal of your weakness. Just be discerning and do not be entrapped by your words. We are answerable to God not only for our words but also for our deeds and motives.

God's plan always surprise us and before we know it, we have to consider many factors to counteract the things that comes our way. What a great surprise to Joseph's brothers when they found Joseph governing the grains during times of severe famine in Egypt. Genesis 45:3. Therefore do not be anxious of politics in your life. When Satan decided that he would hold you captive, God has a plan for your redemption. Genesis 45:7-8. Had Joseph still bear the grievances of his brothers, he would have missed God's plan for his life. Genesis 49:22-26. Likewise the Christ that the evil used to shame a perfect Christ becomes the pledge for our redemption. John 12:32. During times of trial, we wonder why we have to go through the trial. Men goes all the way to shame and ridicule us, but at the end of the trial we are filled with relief that it is God's way of testing our faith.

We cannot soar without a trial. Like the eagle who has to wait for His timing to grow it's feathers till it can fly above the storms again, time of waiting in reflection of our trial is what God destined us to do. His calling is irrevocable and what is yours, no one can steal from you. Whatever God has spoken, He will fulfill. God's vision to Joseph became a reality at the time of reconciliation. Man's ways are never God's way. Isaiah 55:8-9. His ways always bring Him the glory. God be praised.

Prayer: Abba Father we thank you that You have never forsaken us. You set the solitary in families. You bring out those who are bound into prosperity whereas with the rebellious, you left them to dwell in a dry land doomed for destruction. Thank you O God with You, we will not be weary, for You will send plentiful rain to us and confirm our inheritances. In Jesus name Amen.
