2 November 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ God didn’t create man on the first day or the last day the week. In fact, He created us on the sixth day of the seven days in Genesis. And man tasted all the goodness of God and rested with Him on the sabbath. Genesis 2:2.

God didn’t create us as adults first to be self-dependent, rather as infants who require intimacy, dependency and trust from our parents. This reflects that God desires us to encounter His goodness, fruitfulness and restfulness daily throughout the week of His workings. Genesis 1:28. This was the original design in His likeness to be provided, to have dominion and to populate the earth. But because of sin, the branches fell from the vine to be self-dependent, and it soon became a dry, withered and rotting branch for the fire which no longer can bear much fruit due pride, anger and jealousy. Yet God is merciful and is a great vine dresser and grafting specialist who integrates us back to the vine our Christ, who heals, restore and reconciliation to bear fruit . Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, for you are the vine and the vine dresser, and I am the branch. Let me abide in you and you in me. For it’s no longer I who lives but Christ lives within me. My spirit is yielded for divine changes, transformation and productiveness. I believe I am entering into a fruitful season of prayer with bountiful blessings, and no sorrows can be added to it, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
