Today’s Inspiration: The Kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in the field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Matthew 13:44.

God has hidden Christ in all our hearts when he created us but our eyes are too bound to the riches of the world, the lust of the flesh and pride of life that we lose sight of the salvation of our soul and eternal blessing for our descendants. 1 John 2:16. The field or soil in the Bible teaches us about the condition of our hearts. Can you find the treasure in your heart?

We all look for “things” in our lives. Money, positions, power, fame, house, cars etc. But what we are actually finding is not about the stuff but about the “person”. Who are you? Where you come from? Why are you here? Where are you going to? Things will only bring temporal happiness but what it takes to give it all is eternal joy.

Christ is the reason why God created man in His own image. He is the treasure hidden in the field, in our hearts and in our family. When we find Him, we give it all for salvation, eternity and love for one another. If we are willing to give our heart to God, we will find Jesus deep within to live with Him in the kingdom of God. Jesus is our treasure and our prize. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: O Lord My God, as I draw close to you, draw close me. Let me seek ye first your Kingdom and your righteousness, and all that I need shall be added to my life for your glory. If Christ is all I have, Christ is all I need, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
