Today’s Inspiration: By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. Hebrews 11:4. Jesus said,” For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:21-23.
The pandemic has taken many hearts and sights away from God. Many are choosing to worship God on online “channels” they like to hear rather than coming to the House of God for worship, prayership, and fellowship. Christianity is not a religion, an emergency call line or a Sunday routine for gathering. Christianity is about Jesus, who God gave His first love to die for us at the Cross of Calvary so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16. Jesus prophesied in the end times, people’s heart will grow cold, like Cain who gave God his leftover love, time and offering. Matthew 24:12. Abel gave by faith his best offering for the Lord and even though he died his voice was resurrected to God. Abel was a reflection and representation of Christ on the earth in the Old Testament. How do we live our lives as Christian? Do we give our best and serve the Lord for His glory, putting Him first? How’s our attitude of gratitude? Apostle Paul once said,” To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” He speaks of His first love and undivided life focus on the Lord. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let my heart not grow cold or lukewarm but let it be on fire for Jesus Christ, the joy of my salvation. Awaken my spirit and stir up my heart with passion to love you with all of my heart and honour you in all of my ways. Fill me with thy Holy Spirit, and quicken my spirit to run with a new zeal daily and continuously, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
