Today's Inspiration: The fear of the Lord is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. For He looks to the end of the earth and sees everything under heaven. Job 28:24, 28.
The Lord looks after His people and will not forsake them. Moses feared the Lord and had the wisdom to write the Torah as our daily bread. He focused his attention on the Lord our God in good and bad times. The acquisition of wisdom is above that of pearls. It cannot be measured in terms of value. V18. We are not to lean on our own understanding for by this it is to look at surface of things that perishes overtime. Looking at surface of things is fleshy and evil but trusting the Lord totally is what he desires.
We need to trust the Lord with our whole heart like Abraham whom God regarded as His friend. Jesus taught that the one who ranked foremost in the kingdom of heaven is those who are converted and approach the Lord's throne in childlike faith. Whoever humbles like an innocent child is the greatest in heaven. Matthew 18:2-4.
Jesus always deals with the heart. He desires to break into the hardness of earth so that we be participants of His kingdom. Seeds of faith cannot be planted and sprouted when the heart is hardened. Nothing can be formed when the ground of the heart is hard. David asked the Lord to soften his heart and create in him a clean heart and renew within him a steadfast spirit and not to take the Holy Spirit from him. Psalm 51:10-11. Sustain him with a willing spirit. V12. He will treasure His word in his heart so that he will not sin against Him. Psalm 119:11. He shall delight in the statutes and not forget His word. V16.
Therefore, come to His presence each morning desiring and feasting on His word that your day be blessed coming in and going out. God be praised.
Prayer: Restore to me O Lord the joy of your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. Purge me with hysop and I will be clean. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
