“This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.” Matthew 6:9-11
God’s will for us is to be Holy with the image of Christ manifesting in our lives. Prayer begins with a totally surrendered heart, a fully given will, and a deeply yielded spirit to God.
God doesn’t throw his pearls to pigs because without faith and believe, we cannot please God. Matthew 7:6. Jesus teaching on prayer is about humility. It’s how we can be lesser and God be greater so that we can be yielded vessels for God’s will and His kingdom. Holy Spirit is looking for vessels that are humble, obedient and teachable, not prideful, boastful and conceited. Prayer begins with His calling, His will, and His Word.
Would you give your life and whole heart to God? This is starting place and the secret place of prayer, a surrendered heart to God. How do we cast our cares to God? It’s getting into that secret place once again. Praise God!
To God be the glory!
