Today’s Inspiration: “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 NIV. Our God is the author and finisher of our faith since the day we were saved by grace through faith. Hebrews 12:2. Generosity is not just a learned gift, it is the presence and grace of God, overflowing with love, compassion and mercies when Jesus fed the 5000 and the 4000 families. Matthew 14:21.
In fact, I have never seen a generous brother or sister in Christ without joy but on the contrary many doesn’t have joy because they are not sowers. There is a supernatural anointing in generosity which cast out every fear of lack and breaks the yoke of poverty. This anointing came down strongly in the day of Pentecost by the Holy Spirit, where supernatural generosity overflowed and overwhelmed the body of Christ and none was in lack. Acts 2:44-45. The Bible says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10. So today if you felt the lack of joy or fear of lack, start praying and start giving by the Spirit. “One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:24-25. Know this, devil always takes but Jesus always gives. Praise God, we serve a generous Abba Father!
Prayer: O Lord my God, show me where you are working among the poor, needy and broken. Lead me to be like you, who is an everlasting sower, giver and builder in all your ways blessing the fatherless, the widow and needy. Direct me with a generous heart and spirit to sow and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, in Jesus' Name Amen!
