14 May 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “For if the first fruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.” Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ Putting God first and His righteousness in all our discernment, decisions and deliberations is paramount of a godly life as a disciple of Jesus Christ, and a child of God. Matthew 6:33. Most of our life challenges mentally, emotionally and physically have roots seeded when we were young like fear, trauma, anger, bitterness, hatred, abandonment, rejection, injustice, insecurity, inadequacy, jealousy, envy and unforgiveness, by the enemy.

Spiritual roots are emotional roots which need to be uprooted and healed. Or else we will always go through a vicious cycle of reactions to similar situations, people, or words. Sin, sickness, infidelity, addictions, cyclical broken relationships, rejections, failures and abuses are signs which direct us to its roots during primitive days. Jesus said,”Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.” Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭13.‬ Remember we have to deal with the roots and reactions to be fully healed and delivered. Holiness is not becoming religious but Christlikeness, healing our reactions and changing our attitudes, behaviour, and character.

Prayer: O Lord my God, give me a clean hands and a pure heart to worship you. Let my spirit be thy lamp as you shine your light upon my life and my soul. Reveal to me things that is planted by enemy so that the roots can be exposed and uprooted in my mind and my heart. Break every generational iniquities. Heal my anger, frustrations, insecurities and fears. Let your rod and staff bring comfort to your sheep and restore my soul for I put my trust in you in Jesus Name, Amen.
