11 July 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬. There is a Chinese saying, “Food enters into the mouth but trouble comes out from the mouth. Even apostle James spoke about how evil the tongue can be like a wild fire which destroys all things, and no man can tame. It corrupts the whole body. James 3:6 Many don’t realise that bitterness, anger and resentment are roots of many sicknesses, illnesses and diseases. Generational curses also come from the evil tongue.

Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them. Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬ The only person that can deal with our tongue is the Holy Spirit and the only way we can receive the Spirit of God is repentance. Without changing of our hearts, we will not change our words. Wisdom speaks,”From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward. Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭14‬ ‭Family reconciliation requires repentance, renewal and receiving the Holy Spirit with the Word of God for healing and restoration.

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me for all unclean, unkind, and ungodly words in my life. Sanctify me like prophet Isaiah with your coals of discipline upon my tongue. May the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing unto you. I repent from my sins of quarrelling, grumbling, complaining and even cursing. Remove all pride of life, lust of my flesh and lust of my eyes. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I will bear good fruit of the Spirit, in Jesus Name, Amen
