Today's Inspiration: The Law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul. Psalm 19:7. Without conviction of the Holy Spirit, even the word of the law means nothing to us yet there is value in words. Knowing the power of words made us ponder before we speak. What we speak, we speak from our thoughts whether good or bad.

The word of God is like a double-edged sword that cut into our hearts dividing soul and spirit. Hebrews 4:12. It brings conviction of the soul that nourishes it, edification or comfort. It can also bring condemnation. How powerful are our words! May our words this morning bring comfort and edification to others according to the need of the moment. Do not view your situation based on what you can see with the natural eyes but by what the Holy Spirit shows you.
Our thoughts and speeches are weapons of warfare that can pull down every stronghold. To do so, we need to be confident of what we are expressing and not allow unresolved cycle of conflicts bar our path to progress. To act based on other people's opinion brings disaster. We ought to be discerning.
King Rehoboam succeeded king Solomon, he rejected the counsel of the elders but consulted the young men who grew up with him instead to add to the yoke on the people. 2 Chronicles 10:8-9, 13-15. He did evil and did not prepare his heart to seek the Lord in 2 Chronicles 12:14. So he was at war in all his days. V15. Even his son Abijah who succeeded him reigned only for three years. We cannot fight against the Lord God for we shall not prosper. 2 Chronicles 13:12.
Good counsel is therefore necessary to rule wisely. Seek the Lord for wise counsel and that of godly men as well to ensure all be well with you.
Prayer: Dear Lord I will never forget your precepts for by them You have given me life. Forever O Lord your word is established in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
