Today's Inspiration: 1 Samuel 22:2 all those who were in distress, or in debt or discontented gathered around David and he became their leader. About 400 men were with him. David knew he was anointed king yet he is faced with adversity after adversity despite the fact that he is a man after God's heart. Indeed, our ways are not God's ways. We are always tested to succeed. God did not call the qualified but ask those who suffered afflictions to taste His goodness.
David must be thinking how he could raise an army like this yet it is God's will to ascertain the purity of his heart. Failures are not the end but steps towards success provided we learn lessons from them. God always called the insignificant and mould them into extraordinary vessels to accomplish for Him. If we don't learn the path to success, we will not mature.
God matures us in our failure but for the Greeks they disqualified the failures. In the midst of plenty, distress may overtake us but if we deal with them in the right perspective, all will turn out for good for those who love Him and are called for His purpose. Romans 8:28.
God will bring disaster to those e who afflict them. God be praised.
Prayer: O Lord You have heard my cry for mercy and heard my prayer. All my enemies will turn back I pray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
