Today’s Inspiration: “The Lord works out everything to its proper end— even the wicked for a day of disaster. The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided.” Proverbs 16:4-6 NIV. Pride is root of all destruction in many families but humility is the spirit of all wisdom and reconciliation with God and others. Proverbs 11:2.
“Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.” Proverbs 22:4. God looks at our attitude and not our altitude, He looks at our heart and not our achievements. I have observed in many homes and families, good intentions can turn out to be a disaster if we deliver it in our own flesh and not in God’s way. The gospel can only be spread in the family through Christ-likeness and love, not in anger, frustrations and judgement. Do to others what you want others to do to you. Luke 6:31. All dysfunctions of a child comes from the parenting and dysfunctions of parenting comes from a dysfunctional marriage. Satan’s strategy is always to attack marriages because it is foundation of a Godly family. Matthew 19:6. Let’s pray to protect all marriages in the body of Christ. A strong marriage builds a strong family. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me if I have neglected my spouse and children and allowed anger to enter the marriage and my heart. Let the fear of the Lord guide me in humility and repentance. Forgive my sins and my waywardness that I can walk in your path of love and righteousness. Teach me your loving ways, change me and heal me of all negative reactions, that I may see reconciliation and salvation once again in my family, in Jesus Name, Amen.
