Today’s Inspiration: Spiritual maturity is intimately related to our Sanctification and Service life as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Without sanctification we will not have self-control and without serving God, we will not grow in our gifts and calling. Both are pre-requisites to a fruitful, fulfilling and faithful life in following Christ. It is spoken,” Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.” Hebrews 6:1-3.
It is not the minister that builds the ministry but the ministry that builds the minister. Similarly, it is through discipleship that we truly mature through discipline and through our calling we truly know our identity in Christ. 2 Timothy 4:2. Discipleship and Maturity begins at home because it carries our true identity. Parenting and Discipleship are intimately intertwined and is vital to grow in the Word of God for our children and theirs. Healing reactions are all due to childhood wounds, abuses, and traumas because they stifle spiritual growth and maturity. Ephesians 4:22-24 The goal of Discipleship is Godliness which profits all in Christlikeness and sanctification is the process of healing our reactions. 1 Timothy 4:8.
Prayer: O Lord My God, change my heart and let me be like you Lord. Take me, and mould me that I may be refined by your Holy Spirit and Fire, suited for your use as a vessel of honour, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
