“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.” Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

While reading this chapter on prayer, we may not realise that there is fire and smoke in the spirit realm of prayers. According to the Word of God, our prayers are ascended to the censers of the elders and angels in heaven. Revelation 8:3.

In fact prayers bring forth light from the spiritual lamp unto the physical realm. And our spirit is the lamp of God which is lit by His fire. Proverbs 20:27. There were times when we go to cleanse and dedicate houses which had dark forces and upon prayers and worship, the fire, presence and glory of God literally illuminated the house and cast out all darkness and His peace came not just into the house but also unto the hearts of the family. God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29.

Our prayer life is not limited in the church or our prayer closet but also in the marketplace and at home as well. As a Christian, we mustn’t be hiding our identity in Christ. On the contrary we are destined to be the salt and light to the world. Matthew 5:14. A family that prays together stays together.
