5 November 2021 Word by Senior Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s inspiration: Wisdom is better than strength. Ecclesiastes 9:16. Why? It is not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord, who brings calmness to the soul which can lay great offences to rest. Ecclesiastes 10:4 The Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious but fools are consumed by their own lips and ways.

God’s greatest power is not just in healing, miracles, and wonders but in bringing the prodigal sons and daughters back home into the Father’s house, heart and bosom. The Kingdom of God is a family established through unity in diversity, as a community in the Trinity. Genesis 1:26. Only God’s love can bring salvation, restoration and reconciliation in the family.

All families have different fears, dysfunctions and emotional struggles but that doesn’t mean God is unable to heal, forgive, and restore. Remember all works of God begins in prayer. My family was so broken like glasses with sharp edges. No one would touch a broken glass for fear of wounds and cuts. But there is one day I found the one who knows all my sharp edges and was willing to bleed by holding me with His hands and body. He took all my stripes and heal all my wounds at the Cross. Isaiah 53:5 He is Jesus Christ my saviour and healer. He did what no man could, to bring salvation, healing and restoration to my broken soul, home and family. In Him, all hope, faith and love is found. My treasure and my great reward. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: O Lord My God, today I pray for my home and family. They are not perfect and so do I. Heal me of my hurts and my pain in the past that I may find peace and hope in God to pray for my unsaved loved ones. Teach me to love like you at the Cross and by your stripes, I am Healed, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
