Today’s Inspiration: “Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:20-21 NIV. Most of our life struggles are because of disobedience. The root of disobedience is pride and the problem with pride is that it has no ears. The church today is flooded with programs but not deeply rooted in discipleship. What we want and what God wants can be very different. Zechariah 4:6. If Jesus came to the earth to do only the father's will which is to bring salvation, hope and healing to all who believe, what will be our purpose here on earth?
Prayer is not just learning to proclaim scriptures but to learning to hear the voice of God. Without discipleship, there will not be spiritual growth. If we only come church to hear what we want to hear like a motivational speech, we develop itchy ears of lust and not sound doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:3. True discipleship will break false Christian “cladding” like the Pharisees whom Jesus rebuked as white washed tomb but dead man bones from within. Matthew 23:2&. If a powerful sermon of conviction can bring changes to a soul, how much more regular deep discipleship can bring forth spiritual maturity. Discipleship brings forth God’s purpose and deep healing in your life. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, your sheep hears your voice, you know me and I follow you. Lead me to wise spiritual mentors and counsels, just as Elijah to Elisha. Draw me close to you Lord and open the eyes of my heart and ears of my soul that I may do the Father’s will, from faith to faith and from glory to glory, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
